This case is from the Supreme Court website and you can find every detail in AC number 7136. Some who know every detail of this case have wondered what love really is that gives euphoria to some and pain to others. What is love really that people are drawn to it even though they know how painful it is? Others echo Shakespeare’s saying that you cannot love and be wise.

When the Supreme Court released the documents of this case, some laughed at the actions of one of the people involved because it seemed like he traded his career and professional life for a woman.
Others were impressed by the love story of the two people involved and even said that what happened was the right love at the wrong time. But even though many supported what the defendant did, there were still many more people who raised eyebrows and condemned what he did. Even the highest court in the country is convinced that even if the details of Philippine law are overturned, what it did was wrong.

One of the main characters in this case is Jose Emmanuel Iala or better known by the name Nolly Iala. So she thought she could approach the couple in case she and her fiancé had an affair. But while others were deeply in love and inseparable during the first year of their marriage, for the Guivaras, their honeymoon stage ended quickly. He noticed that his wife Irene did not stop by their house. When he confronted her, she always said that she was working or out with her friends.
Because he felt that his wife was abandoning him, he repeatedly asked her to clarify what the problem was. But instead of resolving their issue, Irene left the palace in February. Just about four months after they got married. He tried to ask her to fix their problem. But no matter how hard he tried to talk to Irene, her heart was really hard.
He later learned that in 2002, it had been less than a year since they had separated. And while they were still married, news reached him that she was pregnant and had a new man with her.
